Questions families ask

Do you have a health guarantee?

Yes. It is part of the purchase agreement. Every puppy comes with a one-year guarantee covering life-threatening congenital defects, and we extend it to three years if you keep your puppy on the NuVet multivitamin as the manufacturer directs.

Why did you start breeding?

We started with a friend and mentor who let us tag along during their litter labors, and it organically grew into a field we thoroughly enjoyed being a part of. The community of breeders is strong and supportive, and the fur parents we meet are like extended family.

What makes your program special?

We actively include our children in the daily process of raising a baby puppy. We know from personal experience what we want from a breeder and we strive to be that ideal — to stay in communication, to befriend, to become something more for life.

What breed sizes do you raise?

Goldendoodles in miniature and medium. Dachshunds in miniature. Bernedoodles in mini and medium. Sheepadoodles in miniature and medium. Sizes vary depending on the parent dogs.

What coat types do you have?

Dachshund puppies come in longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

What coat colors do you have?

Dachshunds: piebald, cream, red, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Goldendoodles: apricot, red, chocolate, phantom, merle and parti. Bernedoodles: black and white, tri-color, blue merle and merle. Sheepadoodles: merle, blue merle, and black and white. Colors vary depending on the parent dogs.

Where do your breeding dogs live?

In our home and in guardian homes. Every parent dog is part of a family rather than living in a kennel.

What does a puppy cost, and is there sales tax?

Our puppies typically run $2,900 to $3,900 depending on litter, coat and color — see our program for what that includes. 8% Georgia sales tax applies and is added to your invoice automatically.

How do I get on the waitlist?

Fill out our application. Once it is approved and we have met by phone or video chat, a $200 non-refundable reservation fee holds your spot on any future litter. A second $300 is due when you claim your puppy, for $500 in total reservation fees that go toward the final price. Full detail is on our reservation agreement.

Can my puppy be shipped to me?

We do not put puppies in cargo. We use a flight nanny who flies with your puppy in the cabin, and we can also arrange ground transport. If your puppy is travelling to you, the balance is due the day before they leave — rates and details are on our policies page.

What do you feed, and what should I buy before pickup?

We feed TLC All Stages and give NuVet daily, and every puppy goes home with a starter supply — see best food & vitamins. The full list of what we actually use is on our shop page, and the first-weeks routine is in our puppy instructions.

Can I come and visit before the puppies are vaccinated?

Not in person. For the safety of the litter we do not allow visits before vaccinations — it protects them from outside germs. You will get photos and video every week instead, and we are happy to video chat. More on how it works.

What are puppies treated for before they leave?

Mom is dewormed before whelping, puppies are dewormed at three, five and seven weeks, given giardia and coccidia prevention, and seen by our vet at seven weeks with a fecal float. The full schedule is on our deworming page. Follow up with your own vet to continue dewormer at 12 and 16 weeks.

Do you offer training?

Yes. Every puppy starts on the Baxter & Bella curriculum with us, and you get 25% off their lifetime program. We also run a four-week Puppy Preschool where your puppy stays with us for one-on-one training — limited to two puppies per litter.
